In addition to passion and a deep sense of commitment, Lisa Mashburn brings a broad range of business experience to each coaching engagement. Her background includes work with venture-capital-backed start-ups, family businesses, tier-one financial firms, Fortune 500 corporations, and top-ranked academic institutions. During her career, she has built businesses from the ground up, managed key accounts, and coached leaders at all levels, across industries. She is a New York University certified Organizational & Executive Coach and holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School.
Areion was founded in response to the needs of today's business environment where change occurs with increasing speed and the development of people is critical in remaining competitive and improving quality of life. The company name was inspired by the Greek legend of Areion, (pronounced air-ee-on), a divinely bred, extremely swift, immortal horse who first appeared in Homer's Iliad X. Areion represents speed, flight, intelligence, communication, and legacy. At the root of the word, Are-ion means “to be” and “moving forward.”
